On a physical level, we are all familiar with shungite, a carbon-based stone found primarily in Karelia, near Lake Onega in Russia. It is known for its high concentration of fullerenes, a molecular form of carbon with a perfect geometric structure based on pentagons and hexagons (which were called “bucky balls” by Buckminster Fuller).

Fullerenes are said to have potentially these properties:
